Knee Braces

A knee brace can provide protections and support for your knee. In some cases, a brace is also used to restrict the movement of the knee.

You may need to wear a knee brace to limit the damage after an injury or to help your knee to recover after surgery. For example, a brace may be worn to keep the knee at the right angle after ligament reconstruction surgery to prevent re-injury. The doctor will ensure that you have the right type and size of brace. You will also be told how to put the brace on and take it off. You may need to wear the knee brace for several weeks while your body is healing.
